Notes: Pebbles might just be your perfect match. This beautiful 5.5 pound Chihuahua is about 3 years old and full of love, resilience, and sweetness.

Pebbles has a neurological condition that gives her an adorable wobbly, 'tipsy' walk, but it certainly does not slow her down. She loves keeping up with her people and doggy friends and is always eager to be part of whatever you are doing. Because of her condition, she will need a home without stairs (or gates on stairs) and a family who can help keep her safe.

Pebbles also wears diapers indoors, as she does not have full control of her bladder or bowels. She takes it all in stride and does not let it affect her happy spirit one bit.

This little survivor has already been through so much. She had bladder stones removed and will need to stay on a prescription diet to keep her healthy. She also had one eye removed due to a painful condition but do not worry, she gets around just fine and does not miss a beat.

We would like Pebbles to be adopted to a family in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Pets with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to dogs and cats with physical disabilities. The organization provides humane sheltering and specialized vetting for those pets in need. We also provide invaluable support, resources and education for families whose pet has become disabled or those who are thinking about adding a pet with a disability to their family.

The adoption process is designed to match our dogs with the right home. Typically our dogs require the safety of a fenced in area. There are exceptions to this depending on the dog and your overall environment/lifestyle. Please contact us with any questions. We also require applicants to provide us with photos of your home (outside, driveway, nearest road & inside common areas), and yard (proof of fencing).
