Breed: Chihuahua mix

Age: 2-3 years approx

Size: Small

Color: Brown and white

Coat: Smooth

Vaccinations: Yes

Other Dogs: Good with small dogs

Children: Needs a home without small children

Notes: Coco Puff is an affectionate and playful Chihuahua mix. He loves being around his people and needs someone who is home most of the day as he has severe separation anxiety. He has dug under fences and darted out open doors. He will need someone patient who is willing to work with him on not doing this. He enjoys going on walks, running and playing. He is good with children, but does jump up so may do best in a home without small children. He gets along with small dogs, but no big dogs please. It is unknown how he would be with cats. We think he might chase the cat, but just to play. He is crate and paper trained, has had formal training and knows basic commands.

Date Available: 04-10-2020 - The dog was known to be available for adoption on this day.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is an IRS 501(c)(3) Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. We rely on donations and do not receive government, state, or city funding. We operate almost entirely by volunteers. Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened, loving and secure homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our dogs. We are also a sanctuary for those dogs that don’t get adopted, including a Senior Dog Rescue Program which provides food, shelter, and medical care for elderly dogs in the animal shelter that because of age and medical issues are least likely to be adopted.
